SCULPTURE D'AVALOKITESVARA EN PORCELAINE À DORÉE ET ÉMAILLÉE DITE «ROBIN'S EGG» CHINE La deite est representee agenouillee, les deux mais ouvertes devant le torse, la coiffure formant chignon derriere une tiare a cinq pointes, le visage rond et souriant, le torse et la taille ornes de parures orfevrees que emaillees rouge, turquoise et bleu, la robe et le chale ornes de noeuds sans fin et de chauve-souris, la peau doree, reposant sur un socle circulaire presentant une rangee de lotus et orne de paillettes afin d'imiter la glacure dite Robin's egg`. Pour une sculpture similaire, bien que plus ancienne, priere de se referer au lot 539 de la vente Christie's Hong Kong du 29 Avril 2002. A FINE GILT-DECORATED AND "ROBIN'S EGG" ENAMELLED PORCELAIN FIGURE OF AVALOKITESVARA CHINA Kneeling with both hands raised at the chest, the hair fashioned into tall topknot behind a five-leaf diadem, the rounded face with lips slightly indented to give a smiling expression, the bare torso and waist festooned with radiating jewellery chains, highlighted in tones of red, blue and turquoise enamels, the skirt and shawl gilded with endless knot and bats, the figure is resting on a circular platform base designed with lotus petals to form the rounded sides, enamelled with speckles of blue and red to imitate Robin's-egg-glaze.
