OSTENSOIR / MONSTRANCE Monstrance with quadripod in gilded metal. The lunula used to display the consecrated host is framed by twenty-four transparent rhinestones. The whole is encircled by a rich border featuring four silver-plated cherubs, interspersed with red oval cabochons. A radiance adorns the whole, presenting a pattern mixing straight and beaded rays, floriform and wavy. The upper part presents a nimbed cross decorated with geometric and floriform patterns. There are also eighteen rhinestones with purple highlights. The body is decorated with flowers and flourishes, as well as four round and red cabochons. The foot is decorated with four silver medallions displaying the four evangelists and their allegorical form of the tetramorph. We recognize Matthew and the angel, Mark and the lion, Mark and the bull and Luke and the eagle. The base of the foot is decorated with four oval and red cabochons. The four feet end with a small flower. Height : 69,5cm / 27 3/8" A small image of Christ is included, which is glued on the lunula.
