Associated with "mbwoolo" shrines, this small fetish covered with different materials reinforcing its power, was intended to cast a spell, or on the contrary to intervene during healing rites.
The face with its almond-shaped eyes, the snub nose, and the high crest headdress are characteristic of the productions of the Yaka group, who lived along the Wanba River in the present Democratic Republic of the Congo.
A display stand will be included with the lot.
