FLASQUE EN FORME DE LUNE À GLAÇURE «CLAIR DE LUNE» ET DÉCOR DE DIAGRAMMES, BIAN HU CHINE, YONGZHENG De forme circulaire, reposant sur un pied ovale, deux anses reliant le col à l'épaule, les deux faces ornées d'un décor moulé des «Huit diagrammes» (Bagua) sous glaçure dite «Clair de Lune». Marque Yongzheng à six caractères en kaishu en bleu cobalt sous couverte au-dessous. Les «Huit Diagrammes» sont représentés par des signes cabalistiques et arrangements de lignes qui dériveraient des marques faites par l'empereur mythique Fu Hsi (2852 avant Jésus-Christ) à même la carapace d'une tortue. Les objets portant ces symboles auraient le pouvoir de préserver leur propriétaire de la mauvaise fortune et ainsi d'assurer leur prospérité future. A CLAIR-DE-LUNE GLAZED MOONFLASK WITH A DECOR OF DIAGRAMS, BIAN HU CHINA, YONGZHENG Of flattened spherical shape, with C-shape handles linking the neck to the shoulder, the two faces adorned with a molded décor of the "Eight Diagrams" (Bagua) under a covering "Clair-de-Lune" glaze. Six-character Yongzheng mark in kaishu in underglaze cobalt blue on the bottom. The "Eight Diagrams" are represented by an arrangement of certain cabalistic signs consisting of various combinations of straight lines arranged in a circle, which are said to have been evolved from the markings on the shell of a tortoise done by the legendary Emperor Fu His (2858 B.-C.). The objects adorned with these symbols are believed to have the power of preserving their wearer from misfortune and assuring his future prosperity.
