Rare photographic camera from the end of the 19th century, with glass plates 13 X 18cm, in mahogany wood and brass. Manual trigger connected to an adjustable and height-adjustable box. Case dimensions: H: 51cm - 20 '', L / W: 35cm - 13.75 ''. The wooden structure is 143cm - 56.25 '' high and rests on a cast iron tripod base, on casters and a manual brake at the rear; L / W: 81cm - 32 '' COOKE PORTRAIT ANASTIGMAT lens no 242499 12 3/4 Inch. - 325mm, series 11.E, f / 4.5, made in England by TAYLOR HOBSON. Also include two pumps, 6 wooden cases, and black velor. A glass plate showing a church exit in negative is also included. History of the object: Belonged to Mr. P. François, professional photographer in Cherbourg (France) then bequeathed to his family living in Montreal.
