"GREPPI, COSTUMI" - Notebook of watercolor drawings [1844]. Format in-4 Collection of 56 watercolor and captioned drawings representing Italian costumes through the ages as well as portraits of rulers, after Antonio Greppi (1823 - 1867). The collection is divided into series: Republica di Venezia (16 plates); Governo di Milano (27 plates including 10 of small portraits); Governi Real Casa di Savoja (5 plates); Governo di Genova (4 boards plus a folded sketch board); Governo di Toscana (3 plates); and Serenissima Republica di Lucia (1 plate). Costumes and portraits are identified in ink; some blank sheets for "historical notes".
